In this guide, you’ll learn how to get one of the best and most OP mythical items added to The Elder Scrolls Online ESO in the Blackwood expansion.
Harpooner’s Wading Kilt
Dealing direct damage grants you a stack of Hunter’s Focus for 1 minute, up to 10 stacks max. You can only gain 1 stack of Hunter’s Focus per second. Each stack of Hunter’s Focus increases your Critical Chance by 125 and your Critical Damage by 1%. Taking direct damage removes 5 stacks of Hunter’s Focus, up to once per second. Removing Harpooner’s Wading Kilt removes all stacks of Hunter’s Focus.
How you can get Harpooner’s Wading Kilt?
You can get Harpooner’s Wading Kilt with the two skill lines: scrying (finding information about where to bury the object) and excavation (i.e. the skills of these excavations).

You need to have scrying level 7 to be able to dig the yellow items that combine into the mythical item. (learn how to level scrying fast here)
You need to get 5 leads to this subject and later dig each one separately. The collected five parts will self assemble into the Harpooner’s Wading Kilt medium armor kilt (pants).
To get this amazing mythic item you have to go to five locations on the map and get the so-called “leads“.
Here are the locations of the 5 pieces:
Harpooner’s Wading Kilt Lead locations:
Two out of five lead locations require DLCs in the game: Shadows of the Hist DLC and Murkmire.
Kothringi-Cut Leather Lead
- Lead location: Blackwood, Bosses
- Place of digging: Blackwood
- What to do: Kill World Bosses in Blackwood
Tide-Glass Beads Lead
- Lead location: Shadowfen
- Place of digging: Blackwood
- What to do: Take plants close to water like Nirnroot, Water Hyacinth, or Pure Water Nodes and Water Skin.
How Hard To Get Tide-Glass Beads Lead?
This one is especially hard to get! The chance is really low (probably less than 0,5%).
Silverweave Cord Lead
- Lead location: Bal Foyen
- Place of digging: Blackwood
- What to do: kill Covenant Enemies
Mobs respawn quickly in this location, but you have to defeat a lot of them before you get the lead.
Bog-Blue Jasper Fetish Lead (DLC)
- Lead location: Shadowfen
- Place of digging: Blackwood
- What to do: kill Ruins of Mazzatun Dungeon last boss (RNG)
Wolf-Tail Sash Lead (DLC)
- Lead location: Murkmire Foul Fishing Spots
- Place of digging: Blackwood
- What to do: Go fishing! (use the correct bait)
